Founded in New York City

Started in 2001, The Clinton St Baking Co has been growing from its humble beginnings at the Lower East Side, New York City. This was as homegrown as it could be where Clinton St continues to maintain its tradition of a mom and pops eatery.

Today, it continues to offer its dishes inspired by a variety of backgrounds such as the American South, Jewish New York, some Spanish influence and Jewish New York. This brings about their promise of a satisfying meal for the customers with their commitment to high-quality meals at affordable prices.

Signature dishes and items

The Clinton St Baking Co started out in 2001 with the idea of offering the best muffins and scones. Hand-mixed in small batches, the intention was to be the place for people to hang out, have muffins and coffee which was how it was then.

News of the unique and delicious pastries of the chef-husband and wife team Neil Kleinberg and DeDe Lahman then started to spread like wildfire and before long, it became the place among business owners and artists all around New York City.

They would come to have the aromatic coffee, their raspberry jam and buttermilk biscuits, corn tortillas and others which were made in-house. It was not long after that they expanded to the shop next door before word got out to the rest of the world.

The Clinton St Baking Co continues to operate in its original place in New York City while it has 2 branches in Japan (Tokyo and Nagoya), Dubai and in Singapore (Purvis Street).

Great meals throughout the day

What makes The Clinton St Baking Co such an exciting place is the experience and the food. Maintaining its original idea of serving great food, customers get to enjoy the classic way of dining all day long. Brought all the way from the US, the branches in other countries keep the tradition as true as its original. In Singapore, they serve the likes of the Spanish Scramble which comes with sourdough and hash.

Breakfast would be great with The Classic Eggs Ben served with ham, sauteed spinach with Hollandaise atop buttermilk biscuit. Their Farmer’s Plate consisting of herb-roasted tomatoes, farmhouse cheddar, toast homemade rosemary pork sausages with soft scrambled eggs is one of the local favorites. Some would also come here for the healthy and nutritious Kale & Quinoa Salad while a simple lunch to go would be the Black Angus Cheeseburger.
