SingTel’s Mobile LIVECam service which makes use of the 3G video call technology is simple and easy to use, even for those who are not ‘techsavvy’.
The camera requires no configuration or installation. All you have to do is to simply insert a 3G SIM card into the SIM slot at the back of the camera and use your 3G phone to make a video call to the camera’s assigned number.
A unique feature of the device is its ability to allow you to remotely pan, tilt and zoom (up to three times) using the numeric keypad on your phone, enabling full control of the camera view. The 0.3MB camera is compact and provides quality video streaming. It comes with a builtin microphone with two-way/one-way voice communication for more interaction and a 512MB SD memory card for hours of live video recording. More importantly, the camera runs on
a rechargeable lithium battery which can last up to 300 hours, allowing it to be truly portable.
What if you’re out at night and wondering if the children are asleep? No worries - the camera is also equipped with infra-red video capture to improve image quality in a dark environment and at night. Up to 20 users can be authorised to view the camera via password access control, which you can set up using your mobile phone.
What attracts me to sign-up for Mobile LIVECam service is the ease of use. My maid looks after my two young children and I often worry about how they are coping at home. With Mobile LIVECam, now all I have to do is to make a video call to the camera anytime, anywhere. Compared to other
