Recipes
Banana Yoghurt
Served with honey lassi and toasted muesli

[Serves three or four]
A really healthy drink for breakfast or any time of the day. Manuka honey gives this pick-me-up an exquisite taste, while toasted muesli adds a satisfying crunch.

INGREDIENTS

2 ripe bananas
200ml plain yoghurt
1 tbsp manuka honey
400ml milk
1 tbsp toasted muesli
Pinch of fine sea salt

METHOD

1. Blend bananas, yoghurt, honey, milk and sea salt in a blender till smooth.
2. Pour into glasses and top with toasted muesli.

Top Tip
Only use ripe bananas. Chill the bananas, yoghurt and milk before blending. Buy ready toasted muesli for convenience.

Fast Fact
Manuka honey has natural antibacterial, antiviral, antioxidant, antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties. It clears infection rapidly by destroying bacteria, repairs damaged skin and boosts new skin growth, and eliminates smells by destroying the bacteria that cause it. It also heals staph infections and destroys antibiotic-resistant strains of bacteria, such as MRSA.

Did You Know?
Muesli is a Swiss German term for a breakfast cereal based on uncooked rolled oats, fruit and nuts. It comprises whole oats, wheat grains and dried fruit rich in fibre and essential trace elements. Some types of nuts (especially walnuts) are also rich in omega-3 fatty acids, linked to many health benefits, including the development of the nervous system.
