Is 3oz of milk every two hours enough for a 1-month old?
Q My daughter drinks 3oz of milk every two hours, and every three hours during the night. But sometimes, she doesn't finish her milk which worries me. Is she getting enough nutrition?
Azmin Osman, Woodlands Drive 16
A One-month-old babies can regulate the amount of milk they require. If she is able to finish her milk for about seven days or if she cries for milk before three hours, you can offer her half an ounce more milk. If she does not finish her milk occasionally, this is normal and should not be a cause for concern. Babies do have varying appetites at different times of the day.
