Primary 1 Registration
Primary 1 Registration

w_001.jpgThe Primary One Registration Exercise, held annually between July and August, is for children who are at least 6 years old on 1 Jan of the year of admission. Registration at each phase is done at the primary school that you wish your child to be admitted into.

Under the Compulsory Education Act, Singapore Citizens born after 1 Jan 1996 and residing in Singapore are required to attend national primary schools regularly. Hence, if your child was born between 2 Jan 2000 and 1 Jan 2001, you would have to register him or her at the 2006 Primary One Registration Exercise for admission to Primary One in January 2007.

Detailed information on the Primary One Registration Exercise will be published in the media before the registration begins. The information is also available on the MOE website and from the MOE Customer Service Centre at Tel: 6872-2220.
